Smart Move Sheffield have made every effort to check the accuracy of the property/vacancy information provided on the website for registered properties but students should make their own inspections of property before entering into a tenancy agreement and confirm the details directly with the landlord/agent.

The photographs displayed on the website are provided mainly by landlords/agents and the University of Sheffield cannot accept any responsibility for the accuracy of these photographs. Although Smart Move Sheffield staff may have initially inspected the student accommodation when it was offered for registration they do not have the resources or technical expertise to ensure that all of the very detailed statutory criteria governing housing conditions and standards have been observed: the University of Sheffield therefore cannot accept any responsibility in cases where these statutory criteria may, in the event, have been infringed. In some cases, where the property is registered with Sheffield City Council’s Snug scheme, the property will not be inspected by University staff as it will have been inspected by Sheffield City Council staff for inclusion in Snug and this inspection will be deemed satisfactory.

Please note the University of Sheffield is not seeking to exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the University of Sheffield or its staff.
